Bio-electric recordings of a single night of dreams.

After a traumatic experience I could never fully remember my dreams, so I decided to make a machine to help me see them. Dreamgrams connects to my sleeping body and reaches into my real subconscious by pulling data streams from my sleep: speech via EMG, heart rate via EKG and rapid eye movements via EOG. Dream data is encoded as low frequency sound and processed via python and pure data. Abstract semi-scientific visualizations are made using a digital oscilloscope and a meditative re-interpreting of the patterns held within.
